There is now a defibrillator in the old telephone kiosk opposite The George for anyone to use. It's a small easily carried case inside a locked cabinet.
If there is an emergency call 999 and say where you are (remember the kiosk does not have a telephone).
Ambulance control staff will ask you to describe the patient's symptoms and if the defibrillator would help they will give you the key code to open the cabinet and stay on the line while they tell you how to use it.
The machine itself has instructions on it and there are instructions in the kiosk.
It was supplied and installed with the support of the Portishead Lions, the Civic Society and the Parish Council.
