Many thanks to the six Sustrans volunteer rangers who spent many hours clearing the worst sections of the A369 cycle path during February. They cut back the vegetation and reclaimed the full width of the path on the sections between North Road and Beggar Bush Lane as well as the high level path opposite Home Farm Road. They also scraped off the mud from the path opposite Ashgrove Avenue.
There is a problem with the road drainage in that location as the road gulley and soakaway are silted up so that every time it rains the cycle path floods, leaving the mud behind. This is combined with the fact that the path was built too low. North Somerset Council are regularly lobbied to put it right, but it is not high on their priorities.
