Attend A Parish Council Meeting

The Parish Council welcomes residents at council meetings usually on the 2nd Monday of each month. You may listen. If you wish to address the council at the start of the meeting please contact John Bridge, Clerk to the Parish Council, in advance of the meeting. Because of the Easter Monday Bank holiday the next meeting will be held on Wednesday 11th April, at 7.30pm in the John Butler Room in the Village Hall. The agenda for the meeting is available here when displayed on parish notice boards . The latest minutes are here.

Recycling & Rubbish - Recycle as much as possible

The recycling rate in North Somerset is now over 58%, one of the best in the country. Recycling in your green boxes and food waste in your brown food bin is collected every Wednesday.
Recycle
Please help the recycling crew speed up the collections by separating materials in your green boxes.

Black plastic, film or expanded polystyrene can not be recycled. All other household plastic packaging and tins are collected together because they are separated mechanically at the depot.

All flattened cardboard, brown paper and food cartons (tetrapaks) get collected and processed together so no need to separate.

Keep paper, newspaper and magazines separate and in another box

Separate out all other categories: paper, glass, clothes and textiles in non-black bags, batteries, mobile phones and spectacles.

Flats in Leigh Woods If you live in a flat and have a shared mini recycling centre please continue to recycle your glass, cans and paper in the bins provided. North Somerset Council are working to extend the range of materials that can be recycled in this service and hope that this will be introduced next year. Residents who have this service will be contacted to let them know when the changes are happening.

Rubbish is collected on alternate Wednesdays in your wheelie bins or special North Somerset rubbish bags. Bins that are over full and additional bags of rubbish will not be collected.

There is no displacement due to Easter Bank Holidays so the dates for April are:-
